iE Convert

A Simplified Solution For Genset Builders.

The iE Convert helps you integrate any energy source and load in efficient AC and DC hybrid power systems on land and at sea. You can use it to charge and discharge batteries; to integrate fuel cells and PV panels; to drive propulsion, hotel loads, and deck equipment on ships; and much more. And you can parallel several iE Convert units to build compact multi-megawatt solutions.


You can use the bi-directional device as a converter, inverter, rectifier, or transformer, and you can cover any capacity requirement from 125 kVA to 6 MVA: Simply choose the iE Convert variant that offers the kVA rating you need and combine up to 8 units on the same controller.

The iE Convert reduces the need for cooling and greatly increases the efficiency of your systems. Thanks to the silicon carbide (SiC) technology, the converter is far more efficient than comparable IGBT designs. It offers switching frequencies up to 100 kHz and provides output energy with very low harmonics and ripple – and very little electrical energy is lost as heat during conversion.

The iE Convert comes as a fully integrated, liquid-cooled module that includes the converter, a basic controller, and the necessary filters – plus built-in galvanic separation for fuel cell applications. Thanks to the pure output energy, additional filters and condensers will rarely be needed.

The AC/DC to DC converter is not only highly efficient but also compact and modular. The iE Convert is significantly smaller than comparable IGBT designs. In fact, you can reduce installation space by up to 60% and weight by 4 to 5 times – great news when you work with crowded engine rooms, mobile power applications, or tight BESS designs.
